Hi evryone Hajime mashite( Greeting in Japanese )
Just joined.
I'm a Japanese sail-boating fan. 56years old. Sailing experience is about 25 years.
I own an old secondhand 25ft JOG named 'Umihotaru' made by YAMAHA.
Umihotaru means Sea-firefly in Japanese.
I'm dreaming sailing around the world after I retired. 5years later from now.
To make this dream come true, I'm learning English and Spanish.
(To sail on the Caribbian Sea and get Ded Man's chest )
Currentry my English is very poor, so I'll be read-only-member and after I improved it, I'll write to you all. Please wait awhile.

Please keep writing umihortaru. It will be good to hear about sailing in your part of the world as I intend to sail to Japan & the Aleutian Islands in a couple of years. It will also help your English a lot to read and write it on here.

Konnichiwa. Hello.
Welcome aboard cruisersforum umihotaru.
Always had a great interest in the Japanese culture. And I too, one day look forward in traveling to your country soon.
Your English seems ok. May not be perfect. But, please!! Feel free to write on this forum, if you have any questions.
And like what "No Ties" said. It would help you, with your English. If you write in English more often.
Sayonora. Dewa mata. Goodbye. And see you later on this forum. :cubalibre

Thanks for reply,
Well, then I'll try to write, please check my English and teach me...
The position of my harbor is 33d44mN-Lat, 135d21mE-Long.
Because situated near Osaka immigration Bureau Wakayama branch-office, we have many yachts from abroad.
If you need information of Japan, please ask me anything.
Have a nice cruise to Japan!

To Ec-Calif & CaptainK
Thank you for reply.
I've thought Japanese was a minor language...
I'm planning to buy a 'sail around the world boat', by a part of retirement allowance.
I have some problems with it.
1:For the money, I must win the last war to my wife.(My wife loves dry life.)
2:I must decide which type of boat to buy, FRP or Steel, I 'm considering to Steel though.
For the second problem, I'll search in this forum, but are there any solutions for the first in there?
Please, don't say like Prof,Dumbledore. "Love, Harry,it's LOVE!".
It'll never work to my wife...

Maybe your wife can spend 6 months with the kids and grand-kids while you sail - ;-)
Maybe that's a very tough battle to win.

Hmmm, it's a good news...Thank you, Mr johnL.
If I lose the battle, I can still sail to Hawaii by my old Yamaha25.
