Hi Everyone, from Tully, New York

Just thought I would say hello to everyone out there, and thank you…you all have encouraged us from the different forums to just get up and live a dream of ours .My husband and I have been planning for six years to get up and just go. Well six years was up this past July. Kids are in last and first year of college. So we have given ourselves till the fall of 2008 to sell the house, hand the business over to our head guy and get a boat large enough for us and refit it for cruising. We are excited and very busy with all the planning. Our house is up for sale, getting ready to hand business over is going well and we bought our new boat and sold our old one. Boy this is just too much fun…we plan on refitting all summer and moving along as quickly as possible. Well just thought I would let you know where we are and what we will be doing. I have come to this site for some time now but never signed in so this was just one more thing I decided I should do.
Arline (husband Jon and boat Kasidah )

I grew up in Liverpool, NY so I think that is about as close as you'll get here in this forum. It's about time you got here. We have been saving a anchorage for you. Crusisers Forum is mostly about where you are headed.

No need to be in a hurry. You've already started! Enjoy the the journey because you can't show up late.

The world is really small. I'll be looking for you on the water soon.

Aloha Arline,
The photo is of my old wood Mariner off the leeward coast Oahu in the early 80s. The boat behind is my old friend's 55' Herreshoff schooner. Hope you have as many happy memories as I of sailing adventures.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Beautiful Boat

I love it! The reason I fell in love with the style of our new but older boat is because it looks like it is wooden. The fiberglass hull is molded to look like wood planks. Thanks for sharing the photo.
