Hi Everyone !

What a great board. Wish I'd discovered it sooner!

I'm a proud owner of an Ericson Independence 31' cutter that I recently purchased in Puerto Galera, Philippines. My wife, myself and our 3 children sailed it to our beach property on Guimaras Island in the Western Visayas where she is now safely (I hope) dry docked and is receiving much needed TLC.

I, we just came back to Canada with a long list of parts necessary to bring her back to tip top shape and plan to go back again soon.

Refitting her been a difficult but an enjoyable experience thus far. It's hard to find sailboat things in the Philippines! I hope I have better luck finding parts here.

Cheers everyone!

Re: Hi everyone!

When we were cruising around the world, we made heavy use of West Marine to get what we needed, and we used DHL to ship it to us. We always carried as much stuff as we could on airiplanes, but sometimes DHL was our answer for a quick fix.
