Hi everyone

I just registered but i have been looking at posts for about a year now. I currently am a college student and only dream of sailing. I have been on a few boats, power and sail, and went to strictly sail last year. What are the best ways to get involved with sailing for a college student in the SF Bay area? I figure I should start sometime so why not now.

Hi Nazim,
Look up some local sailing clubs and go down and volunteer your body as crew for a season!
Add in reading at least one new book a week on sailing / racing skills and by end season you'll be profficient enough to judge what sailing courses are worth going on - and what are best ignored.
Good luck
JOHN

Aloha Nazim,
Welcome aboard!! A lot of Universities in the Bay area offer sailing programs. Maybe your college has a program or is affiliated with other schools. Check with the athletic department.
Swagman's suggestion is good too. The Bay area offers some of the most exciting sailing on earth so enjoy!
Kind Regards,
JohnL
