Hi everyone!

I am looking to start moving into the sailing direction. I have been land-locked for all my life and ready for a change. Living in central PA has limited ocean access! LOL. I am sure that I will be posting lots of questions. Thanks!!

Howdy and Welcome Aboard CF!

I am also a landlocked sailor.
Don't give up your dreams because of being far from the sea.

Re: Hi everyone!

You're in the right place. Lots to learn here. Good luck!

PS: I come from Upstate New York. Never saw or smelled the sea until I was 12. It was love at first sight...

Re: Hi everyone!

Hi and welcome to the forums! It won’t take you long to really get the sea in your blood. Do a sailing class in Bvi. That will get you started!

Re: Hi everyone!

Hey, how's it goin? My names Robert, and im a 51 yr old guy with nothing better to do but sail around the world on a comfy boat and share my journey (the ups and downs of course) with all my family, friends and followers (assuming they follow my journey that is. &#128521. I'm in the process of trying to sell an older fixer upper house here in Shawnee OK and want to buy a boat or trade the house for a sailboat. I've never sailed anything but a windsurf board and wasn't as good at tacking that thing as I wanted to be. Wore my butt out to be honest. LOL. Anywho, I'll be taking local sailing lessons soon, scuba lessons start Mon and I'll be sailing mostly short sails until I'm ready for a looooong ocean crossing. Hoping by this time 2020 I'll be headed to Fiji or Thailand. Maybe even go East to Australia. Who knows at the moment. But my intentions are to sail about 7 yrs or so before taking ANY kind of long break from the seas. I AM EXTREMELY SERIOUS ABOUT THIS. So please respond and let me know what you have to sell/trade, what you think and what we can work out. Sincerely, Robert Jennings.
