Hi everyone

Thought I'd intro myself, I've decided to jack in normal life and go sailing for a while.

I don't own a boat, and have only spent a fair amount of time on dive boats, both working and as a tourist.

So the plan is to learn some sailing, work on a few boats (as in maintenance as in my limited experience being able to fix things is quite important....) learn everything I possibly can and then buy something, then relearn everything I can before casting off and finding some wind.

I have a feeling it's going to be quite entertaing, and painful and expensivr and probably not in that order!

Re: Hi everyone

Welcome aboard, Olly. A long time ago, someone from Latitude 38 suggested it was easier to stand in the shower with your clothes on, the cold water on as high as it would go, and tear up $1,000 dollar bills. Enjoy.

Re: Hi everyone

Welcome here Olly!... and don't worry, when you are starting out, you are only tearing up $100 bills! Welcome to the club.
