Hi and happy Easter from the Pacific Northwest

After getting countless Google results that lead to this forum, I'm Joining! I enjoy daysailing and cruising in the San Juans, OK the entire Puget Sound area. I'm looking forward to sharing information with anyone. I have about 4 years of sailing under my belt and I'm on my second sailboat. Hello to all. Mike.

Welcome Mike,
I hope you find it an enjoyable / challenging / interesting place to visit. I am a little ways north of you, but get down your way once in awhile. Should be more often in the next couple of years.

Aloha Mike,
Welcome aboard! I've only sailed between the entrance to the straits and on to Bremerton when I brought my boat over from Hawaii in '84 and then locked through at Ballard once. I really would like to explore the San Juans someday.
I'm curious about your boat. don't they make several sizes with a 24 and a 26? How's construction?
Kind regards,
JohnL

I am new to the san juan boats so I am no expert but I know they made a 24 and a 28 and I believe a 7.7 meter. I was looking for a cruiser at the time and believe that the 28 is a racer/cruiser. Clark boats mfg them starting in 78 and they are hand laid cloth. nice and thick. I like it so far but hope in several years to move up to a larger cruiser. Thanks for asking! Who doesn't like talking about their vessel! Mike.

Aloha Mike,
By reputation they are good. So congratulations on your 28! I like hand laid up and thick glass so what you say confirms it.
Kind regards,
JohnL
