Hi All

Hi All,

Just dropping in to introduce myself. I am newly interested in sailing and am looking forward to using the forums to learn as much as I can. There are alot of great resources here. I am planning on taking the ASA 101 sailing course at Lanier Sailing Academy in Pensacola, FL in October and then we'll see where I go from there. I live in Louisiana north of Lake Pontchartrain so I have a large community of sailors that I hope to meet and learn from. Should be fun!

Re: Hi All

Welcome spoosh, I would look around at various yacht club and sailing clubs for local racing (or beer can racing). Most of the skippers I know would love to have extra bodies on board. What they want in a crew member is dependable, on time and willing to learn. You've got a lot to choose from down there! Enjoy!
