Hi

Hi All, I've been passivley using this forum for many years to diagnose boating related issues, so I thought I should actually become a member and begin contributing (where I can). My wife and I sail our Tartan 40 out of Marblehead, MA. We have a young family and enjoy getting them out on the water and away from everything else. When not sailing, thinking about sailing, or thinking about something that needs to be fixed so that I can go sailing, I'm usually hanging out with the family on the beach. Otherwise, it's work and sleep.

Garrett

Re: Hi

Hi, Garrett,

I am window shopping, and had my eye on a Tartan TOCK 41, also in MA, but it sold. The layout was a little different from what I usually see. There was a double-bunk forward, but not all the way in the V. Seemed like that might be a little more comfortable than the V berth when the boat is moving around on the hook. How is yours laid out?

Re: Hi

Hi Joe,

Mine is the standard vberth up front, working your way back it has a single head to port just in front of the mast, settee on port and starboard with fold down table to port, ushaped galley to port and a rear facing nav station to port (just aft of the galley), and a seperate berth to starboard just as you come down the companion way. She sails great. Very stable, but can still move in 5-10knots. Just sluggish running in less than 10-15knots.
