Hey everyone!

Hi everyone! The names des0ne, not my birth name but it works for the internet. I'm embarking on a journey from Cape Cod to St. Croix in appx. 3 years. I grew up on an Aloha 34, but that was close to 20 years ago. Hopefully everyone one here will be kind enough to let me pick their brains for the next couple of years while I get back into the swing of things and prepare for my journey! Hope to meet alot of you! Thanks!

Why St Croix?
Just curious. My wife grew up there. Her mother still has a house there on the East End near Divi.

Someone once said to me that I need to something. I forget now what "something" was but I remember replying "No, what I really need to be doing is chilling out on a nice beach somewhere drinking a margarita" I started to search out awesome places to live and decided on St. Croix because of its location and I have a friend there and friends that have lived there. Not a permanent thing, just for a year or two after that its on to someplace else. I got the traveling bug while I was in the Marines, and the ocean bug from growing up on Cape Cod. I figured it was best to put them both together before its to late.....No house, no wife, no kids. just time and freedom.

Aloha desOne
Welcome aboard! St. Croix has some good diving and sailing. More rum punch available than margaritas and much cheaper.
Kind regards,
JohnL

mmmmmm rum!
Growing up on the boat was definately cool, of course my youth wasn't entirely on the water, but my family definately wasn't your average weekenders - always had the coolest stories to tell in the fall when I went back to the school and everyone had to stand up and say what they did for the summer.

The three years is because of money and other various issues, and when that time comes, I wont be returning so I would just like to have all my ducks in a line. I am totally up for traveling around during that time though! Where are you out of?
