Helloooo !

We are Andy and Lisa - SV Black Caiman, the new owners of a Jeanneau 36i sailboat. We have documented the search, purchase and commissioning of her to include all things sailing on our maiden trip down the ICW from Annapolis, MD to Hilton Head, SC. Please visit us on our website.

Moose is our mini. poodle and first mate! He loved the trip on the ICW and the stops along the way.

Re: Helloooo !

Greetings from Australia Andy and Lisa.

The ICW is on my bucket list once I leave the dock here in Australia. Tell me, what does your yacht draw? I'll be drawing close to 2.0 meters and it has me a bit worried. Should I be?

Re: Helloooo !

Thank you for the welcomes. Our boat draws 4' 10" and we only touched lightly once on the Magenta line. We did ground ourselves pretty solid another time on the trip, but that was a huge blunder and it was not on the ICW. We will be going to the Keys soon and then in April 2012 up to New England as far as Maine, so that should cover the East Coast End to End. We loved the trip down from Annapolis, and look forward to another cruise soon.
