Hello to everyone

Hi from Thailand! To introduce myself:

My name is Alf, I learned to sail in the the early '90 on the north
sea and purchased my first boat, a Faehnrich 31 built in '68 in Bremen
in the year 1995. With her I left Germany in '99 and sailed her across
the atlantic to the Carrebean. There I decided not to sail back to
Germany but to purchase a bigger boat and continue sailing. I found my
current boat, Freedom Fargo in Trinidad and continued through the
Panama Canal and the Pacific Ocean. I spent a considerable time in the
South Pacific, living the life of a low budget sailor, stretching the
budget with occasional charters and doing repair work on boats.

In 2006 I arrived in Thailand and started with another German sailor
whom I met in Australia, the first charter company on Koh Tao in the
Gulf of Thailand, far away from any yacht facilities and marinas.
Of course I have the commercial interest to get my business a little bit better known, but I'd like as well to contribute from my experiences and my profound knowledge how to maintain a boat on a tight budget and far away from any yacht facilities.

Cheers

Capatain Alf
