Hello to All - I Am Another Newbie, aka BentWheel

Just want to say hello and introduce myself its a great forum with terrific folks on here. I am 44 and live in the dallas area currently comptemplating the cruising life when i retire. I have a power boat right now but i think sailing may be more pratical when i retire. Right now i am soaking up the valuable information on here and lots of dreaming LOL retirement is still quite a few years away but i am a planner. I think i need to find a sailing club in my area so that i can get some practical experience with sailing..
and that may help me with some of my questions

if you have any recomendations for sailing clubs in the dfw area it would be apreciated...

good luck to you all in the new year and thank you for your work in making this such a great forum.. i am sure i will learn a lot and maybe even make a few friends...

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, DS.

I'm fairly certain that someone, familiar with the DFW area, will be able to help you out.

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
Yes, that would be a great way to get some sailing experience. For a new sailor interested in gaining some basic skills I recommend the book "Start Sailing Right!"
kind regards,
