Welcome aboard captcorky. Not sure where Narragansett Bay is. You might want to put some info in your profile so we can get to know you. At least, let us know where Narragansett Bay is for us West Coast sailors (I am assuming it is somewhere in New England).

Aloha Captain Corky,
Welcome aboard!! I think Kai Nui is just pulling your chain. Even I know where Narragansett Bay is. Philadelphia, right?
I hope you like this forum as much as I do. I'll have to go look at my charts to see if I have any for Narragansett.
Regards,
JohnL

Narragansett Bay

Hi,
We're new cruisers as well- and know N is in Rhode Island. Hi Captcorky. We're currently in Plymouth, Ma and will eventually (Oct or Nov) be on our way to St. John, USVI.

Thanks for your friendly welcomes. I should have included more info. in my 1st message, so here it is. Narraganssett Bay is in the fine state of Rhode Island and is considered by many to be the sailing capital of the Northeast. Newport is located near the mouth of the bay and was the site of the Americas Cup race for over 131 years. Along with Newport there are a number of fine natural harbors within the bay including Jamestown which is home to my boat( Sabre 362). In addition, the New England coast is a wonderful sailing destination with lots of great harbors and Islands from Connecticut to Northern Maine.
Again, Thankyou for making me feel at home and I'm looking forward to participating in this forum.
