Hello One and All, from Southwestern UK

Hello,

We are Gillie & Ruth from the S/Y Tuppenny. We are often referred to as "the girls" which is fun.

We are both british born women who are part way through our circumnavigation on our 40' Wright Ketch Tuppenny, which we bought in the US Virgin's 3 years ago. Since then we have sailed over 30,000 nm and our girl is now on the hard in Whangarei NZ.

We are currently back in the UK for 6 months working as hard as poss to earn the money to fix her up and add a self steering vane for the next part of the circumnav.

We will be posting some questions etc on other threads.

In the meantime, if anyone wants to know anything, please do contact us.

it is great to be part of the group.
best regards
Gillie & Ruth

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Tuppenny girls.

After 3 years, and 30000 miles aboard, it must be hard to leave the “old girl”, even for such a good cause as earning her keep.

Welcome!

Any idea when you will be completing your cruise and be back in the USVI area? I'll probably already be moving far slower down the Carib chain but will be popping back into the Virgins occasionally myself. It is a nice place to start and end or just hang out.

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
Good to have you posting on the forum and we'd love to hear more about your voyages. Where to after New Zealand?
Regards,
