Hello, I'm new here!

Hi guys and girls,

I'm a complete novice when it comes to sailing.
I don't own a boat and have never driven one but so want to start.
I have been on a few cruises which is where I fell in love with the sea. It is without doubt the best way to travel. I use to sit on my balcony and watch the lone yachts in the middle of nowhere thinking how great it would be to have my own boat.
I would love any advice that could get me started. I have looked in to doing some training first and will scan this forum for any useful tips.
Thanks.

Welcome to CF Albert !

I hope your screen name is actually albert n' O BACON!
Instead of albert no bacon...
Because a life without bacon is very sad indeed...

Best way to start sailing is find a local club... They love novices to be sure...

Re: Hello, I'm new here!

Howdy and welcome Albert.

There are many sailing books, many videos on YouTube, and usually some local sailing clubs with courses.

Good luck.
