hello group big trip comeing up

i am a young sailor but about to make a huge step. I am about to get my first large live aboard boat. Around October 13 i should be setting sail heading out from San Diego to the Panama canal. I was wondering if there is anyone else that will be making the same passage around this time. I don't mind the sail but i think it would be safer to sail with another boat making the same journey. Any one have any ideas of anyone making this journey.

You could join the Baja HaHa and get at least down to cabo with 200 or so of your closest friends. May be some folks onwards from there...

October 29 is the launch date from Corronado. Sign up for the event closes on September 10th and there is a 200 boat limit.

That sounds like a plan. Thanks for the info, I am an east coaster so I am not to knowledgeable of sailing events on the west coast.
