Hello I am completely new to sailing . However my goal is to sail some of the islands of the Caribbean. I wish to take the ASAcertification courses up to at least ASA 107 Celestial navigation. So hoping for information on affordable sailing courses in the Caribbean that offer these courses. Thanks
Welcome Sunpack! I can't help you with respect to ASA courses, but have you thought about joining a yacht club and getting out on other boats as crew? A little late in the season for this year in Toronto, but it may also enable you to find some other members with whom you might be able to share a bare-boat charter this winter.
Aloha and Welcome aboard!
Start with the basic course with ASA or US Sailing and decide if you want to continue after that. Coast Guard Auxiliary is a good supplement to those courses but it doesn't do on the watertraining which is what you need most.
