Hello from the Mississippi River

I have only cruised on the UMR for 2 years, spent 10 years on a Kansas lake before that. I have a couple of projects to complete in the next 2 years and then plan on heading south in the fall to where the only ice will be in my drinks. I've been staying on the boat April thru November & I should mention I have a powerboat it is a 3870 Bayliner with t 175 hp Hino diesels, not many sailboats in this area I suppose because of the 4-5 mph current, I do have a sweet sixteen I still sail on Perry Lake at home. I hope to learn from the other members & contribute when I can add anything worthwhile.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. I was out on the Miss. River near Moline just last year. Very different from Pacific sailing.
kind regards,

Thanks everyone for the welcome, one good thing about the river there is a wide choice of places to go and if you stay in the channel you can't get lost.
