A short hello from new users.

I stumbled across this site during a search for a retirement craft (not for a few more years yet) as we're considering cruising around the Med, making the most of the ever so slightly better weather on offer compared to the British Isles!

Our initial plan is to pack up everything here, selling all that we don't need, and live on board our yet to be purchased cruiser for as long as we're able, maybe taking the odd holidaymaker on to supplement our living.

That's as far as our planning has taken us so far, but I'm sure we have our work cut out for us over the next few years - such as Bay of Biscay, or canals of France to get there!

Looking forward to reading the exploits and words of experience from other users in the forums.

Happy sailing,
David & MeShell

Re: Hello from the Isle of Man

A warm welcome, I'm sure you will get most of your questions answered here.
You are well placed to start the adventure, IoM has some great sailing locations, and your close to Ireland and the West Coast of Scotland, all great places to start sailing.
I sail across to the IoM on a regular basis, having a boat in Liverpool
Good luck

Re: Hello from the Isle of Man

I'm sure the Isle of Man has its share of boats, I swear when I was in Ganges Canada David Beckham came in on a mega yacht, a power boat from the Isle of Man. In didn't see him actually get of that particular boat so that could have been someone else's boat. But anyways. Welcome. I saw one of your countryman. Aren't you guys allowed o chop off people's heads for stealing or something? I know you're known for a weird three legged flag, a motorcycle race, and some obscure law.
