Hello from the Hudson River

Hello all,

I have been watching these boards for some time. I used to sail a 16' dinghy and I am now purchasing a 37' Hunter Cherubini. Sold my powerboat to pursue my ideal method of hitting the water.

I'm mostly looking at river sailing and some coastal cruising at this time, possibly a trip through the Erie Canal up to the Great Lakes. I have a 4 year old autistic son who loves the water, but extended cruising won't be possible for a few years. We have done 3-4 day trips on the powerboat previously.

I've learned a lot so far just monitoring the forums, and I look forward to learning even more participating!

If anybody does HAM radio, my call sign is KD2DEJ. I plan to do some radio operation from the boat once we are sailing!
