Thumbs up Hello from the Frozen North, eh !

Hello all, just joined up and dropped in to say hello. Date to cast off "for good" is Aug 2015. Still a long ways off but I still have so much to do I am hoping it will fly by. With all the preparations, I am certain I will find this site a godsend!!! Cheers All

Yes, Krawdad, welcome. Have you bought the boat yet, or are you still in the preliminary planning stages?

Thanks all, I feel at home already. This site is bloody addictive, I've been browsing on here for hours. What a wealth of info!

Thanks for the chuckle Pullord.

Brad, at present I have a twin engine gas guzzling garden variety cruiser. This is of course useless for my intention of Great Lakes, St. Lawrence, coastal, ICW, and Gulf of Mexico cruising so I am shopping for a Trawler or Motersailer. Certainly a ton of stuff for sale, hard to sift the wheat from the chaff but at least I'm getting it narrowed down.

Cheers All!

this global warming stuff is getting serious. It got down to around 78 deg. here last night. I seriously thought about partially shutting one of the sliders.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Did get down to the high 50s last night. Brrr!
Mid west and east coasties really got buried in snow. That must be rough.
kind regards,

You guys from the lower latitudes are just plain mean spirited teasing us poor northerners with your balmy tropical temperatures.

Cheers All, Krawdad
