Hello from Sydney

After sneaking in and browsing the forums for many months I finally bit the bullet and joined. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the frequent posters, site administrators and moderators for the invaluable information I have been able to make use of in both the past and future.
I currently own a Roberts 44 Offshore GRP Ketch and a Citation 34 (34' centre cockpit GRP sloop built in Pittwater in the early 80's) but the Citation will have a new owner as soon as I get the time to fix a few cosmetic things (oh, and put the motor back in) and find myself a good broker. Again, thanks everyone for for all the informative posts and fair winds to all. ..... Mark.

G'Day Mark and welcome to the site,
As expat Auzzies we also find the site informative and the other users really helpful when needed.
Good luck with the sale - a two boat man has to be rich!
Cheers
JOHN

A two boat man owes a lot of money until one is sold - by the way I took a bit more than a cursory glance at your blog, great work and you certainly know how to make someone envious.

Re: Hello from Sydney

Hello ausieman Mark,
Ive just joined this forum to find you. I'm also an ossieman called Mark from Collaroy, freaky I know. I have noticed Calamita is for sale and whether you are the current owner? I am possibly interested in puchasing this vessel and have yet to inspect her. Let me know if she is yours and we could possibly speak further about her.
Cheers Mark

Re: Hello from Sydney

Older thread resurrection....

Ausieman, we are potentially going to make an offer on a larger Australian cruising sailboat boat located in the Pittwater area. We are looking for recommendations on a very thorough surveyor as this boat is a bit tired and needs refitting,.

Any guidance is appreciated
