Hello from Sweden!

Just wanted to introduce myself after a couple of years lurking at Cruiser forum.

I recently bought a sailboat again after running dry for 10 years (I blame the kids...). It's a 23 feet, 800 kg, trailer sailor called Litorina, a very rare and odd Swedish design with centre cockpit, and fore and aft cabin. I haven't sailed her yet but have planned one week of solo saling at the High coast of Sweden, and one week with my familly i Stockholm archipelago.

I have had sailboats since I was 15 and sailed along most parts of the Swedish coast. Now it´s finally time to go sailing again!

All the best!

Welcome Aboard CF!

Good introduction post.

I am glad you posted some photos of your boat.
I wish I could say I had sailed around Sweden, as from the photos I have seen, it appears to be a very beautiful place.

Fair Winds to you and your new boat!

And, your boat design resembles another boat, made in USA, very similar size and concept as I recall.

Re: Hello from Sweden!

Welcome aboard!

That looks like a very nice little boat! Being able to put her on a trailer creates all kinds of possibilities.

I cruised that coast from Kalmar to Kotka in Finland, also Gotland and the Estonian islands -- for four summers -- one of the best cruising grounds in the world, I think. You will have lots of fun, but the only comment would be is that a week is far too little time! If you started now and sailed all the way to the end of summer, you would only be getting a decent taste of some part of the archipelago!

Dash me with amorous wet . . . . I can repay you."

Re: Hello from Sweden!

Thanks to both of you! I'll be glad to contribute to the forum if I can.

Yes, she IS nice, isn't she? I'm sorry that I haven't got any pictures from the inside but here is a sister boat. Mine isn't quite as nice inside, but still fresh and sound.

Uhlich, if you recall what boat you are thinking of thats simillar in concempt I would appreciate if you let me know. The only one I know is the french design Dufour T7.

The Swedish coast is really nice for cruising. I can especially recommend the archipelago outside Luleå, up north. Not so crowded, friendly atmosphere nice area.

Best regards,
Nils Nobbing

Re: Hello from Sweden!

You may be thinking of a Dawson 26. Center cockpit sloop made in the early '70s or thereabouts. I'll see if there is a pic somewhere.
