Hello from Singapore

Just got my powerboat licence a couple of months ago and have been dreaming about buying a little boat for day trips. In fact, right now I'm at the office... supposedly busy with work

Will be asking a lot of basic questions related to boating in Singapore waters - hope you'll all be patient with me!

Hi Pirateship, Quite a handle for that part of the world. Better stay out of the Indian Ocean.

Our boar, Atoll II is currently in Brunei on the Isle of Borneo. We plan to head for Singapore and up the Malacca Strait in Jan and cruising in the area until end of March. We have a CT 56 and are wondering about good marinas in the area, either Singapore or Malaysia. We hear that Malaysia is a lot less expensive but we would also like to have services.

I understand that you are new to the area and not a yachtie but maybe you can provide some information to ge us started. Have all the guides but \i hear that this area changes almost yearly with Land reclaimation projects etc.
