Hi,
My wife and I went to a
boat show last summer looking at
offshore fishing boats. Very large, very expensive (even more than sailboats). But we started thinking "Hey there are no gas stations in the middle of the ocean." So we took a look at a few sailboats and got hooked.
Since then, we took an
ASA 101 class in November. Sailed some
capri 22's through the
winter. Took the 103 class last weekend. Now looking to
charter some 30 - 35 foot boats.
We are in the process of getting ready to buy a
boat in that range to do some coastal cruising. Mostly Channel Islands and Northern
Baja. Although I think that
buying process will take some time. Maybe next year.
Long term we hope to buy a 40-50 size
boat and
cruise. (ahh someday).
Anyway, thats my stroy and I am sticking to it. I doubt I will be
posting much (too new to know everything). But I will be reading a lot of the posts
learning as much as I can.
Sea ya,
