Hello from Salem, MA

Hello, I am new today but have been reading around this site for a few weeks.

I am 26 years old and just recently, in the past couple months, began being more and more interested in a lifestyle away from the 9-5 grind and monotony that comes with it. It has been 12 years sense being on the water on a yacht my great grandfather stored in Orange Beach down in the gulf where he took the fam out on deep sea fishing trips. I enjoyed the boat and the sea much more then the fishing.

I have started to study the books of sailing and researching ways to make this new dream manifest into reality in a few years. I am not afraid of work and understand a lot of it is in my future, but also understand that the work needed gives me the experience needed to grow as a person and as a sailor.

Anyways, thought I would finally post and introduce myself and become more active in conversation around this site and create a means of learning from you all.

WELCOME,

OH to be 26 again. lololol Well I can't go back in time, but I have made the best of the mess I produced. As my signature says, sailing is not always a slick magazine cover. It takes blood, sweat, and at times a few tears to get there, but it's all worth it!.........i2f

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
This is a great forum for asking questions. We're all still learning a few things and questions are welcome.
Kind regards,
JohnL
