Aloha and welcome aboard!
Great sailing up your way. I might get up to Port Townsend this year for the Wooden Boat Festival if all goes well.
regards,

Re: Hello from Puget Sound

Hey fellow cruisers, new here after googleing nw sailing sites and came up with this topic and site. I also cruise around on the pnwsailors.com site and the seafaring.com occasionally. Cant get enough info on gunkholing and cruising the sound, so I need as many options as possible. How many blow boaters cruising the Sound over here ???., Well Just thought I'd check in and cruise the thread to see what's up and take a look at some more thread topics...
Captain out....

Welcome from Port Angeles.
We should do a CF rally in the Sales sometime.

Re: Hello from Puget Sound

Thank you all for the welcome. Very friendly group. We are well out of the rain, but about to enter the summer wet season down this way. Currently we are at Barillas in El Salvador with plans to sail south again Sunday. Next stop either Nic. or Costa Rica depending on wind and seas. We left the cold wether back in Aug 2010 sailed out of the US. end of October 2010.

Re: Hello from Puget Sound

Glad to see Auwana is still looking good and apparently in good hands. My wife Cathy and I (Ted) restored her in Port Townsend; in fact her first slip there was Port Hadlock. Cathy was working at Port Townsend Sails when she made the sails for Auwana; nice to see they are still holding up 20 years later. I was attending the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding at the time. Had a lot of help from Jeff Hammond, we were very good friends back in the day, with Auwana's restoration. Nice to see a lot of my work and design are still looking good and functioning. There is a lot of history behind that girl. For instance, did you know that her Alaskan yellow cedar planks were actually harvested in 1947 and that her apitong frames are some of the first laminates ever used in wooden boat construction. So many people from Port Townsend helped with Auwana's restoration; we thank them and we thank you for taking care of her.
