Hello from Port Townsend

Hi,

Finally getting around to signing up instead of just lurking and reading the good discussions on this board. I have a 38 foot Kennex cat (an early 90s French-built boat) that I'm refitting. My buddy Tim and I publish a website about gear and gadgets for cruisers, called Navagear.com. Looking forward to being a part of the conversation here!

My cat is actually down in La Paz, Mexico, but I'm looking to put it on Dockwise Transport to bring it to the Northwest to finish a major refit. Not many cats in Port Townsend, but there's a spectacular one, Taj, down in Port Ludlow that was built here in town.

Hi Aaron!

I'm another Pacific NW catamaran guy. I was restoring my cat (52' custom) in the boathaven yard last year right alongside Taj when she was being rigged. I'll be up in Port Townsend again this month as Brion Toss will be rigging my boat. I can't wait!

I've also got a Stiletto 27' cat. She's a fun boat, but she is seriously for sale now that I've purchased the big cat. If you know of anyone who wants a really fun little rocketship let me know.

It would be great to meet you up in PT next month. Feel free to swing by and say hello.

Matt

I'm also not too far from you at Point Roberts. Good to see more PNWesters on the forum.

Hey Lancerbye,

You were probably neighbors with the sister ship of my Kennex cat, one called Mustang Sally, owned by Rae and Sharon Simpson. They made the big jump-off last year, and they got to New Zealand so far. They've got a nice website about their adventures: Mustang Sally

Matt, I'll definitely say 'hello' next time I see your boat in PT. I wonder if Brion would be willing to have some of his work on video. We're working on having informative, or at least mildly entertaining video segments be a regular part of Navagear.com.
