Heh...well, really, it's just a case of having the newer boat as a work-in-progress, and the old boat as a "can't bear to part with her".
Such choices are possible when you don't own a car.

You can do that in a Sandpiper. It was a good day for it, too, if cool. I motored to my own haulout because I like to run the engine before I winterize.

Re: Hello from Ontario
Another shout out, from the Beaches, in Toronto!
I've been volunteer crewing through cruisersforum for a couple of years now. Ten boats, to date, and getting closer to feeling confident enough to tackle the Yachtmaster Ocean exams. Got back a few weeks ago, from a crew gig on a 42' Baltic, which took us from Chaguaramas, Trinidad, to Grenada, The Grenadines, back to Grenada, then over to Bonaire, the final destination. Added some decent miles to the resume from that one. Waiting now for the next boat. Hoping to do an Atlantic crossing. Fingers crossed.
Compliments to all

Re: Hello from Ontario
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. We sail out of Port Dalhousie but unfortunately our biggest "cruise" so far has been from Whitby where we bought her to here. She is already up on the hard getting some deck work done *sigh* and it begins.
I just spent yesterday in TO, I use to work there and I am originally from Vancouver Island!
We hauled two boats out too. We have a 24ft C & C that was a great until the vicious two footitis set in. Anyone on the market for a great weekender. Will trade for watermaker! Lol.

Re: Hello from Ontario
Welcome aboard from Windsor! I remember going to Port Dalhousie when I was a kid....used to get chased around by a Tyrannasauros and Terradaktils...<grin> Ok, not quite that old!
Nice jump for a 22 C+C to the 37 O'Day! Good on you!

Lol gunk. More of a cliff dive than a leap but oh well. We are either blessed or crazy or a combo of both.

I like the DYC very much, and the long walk from clubhouse to docks is good for building a thirst. It's also a good place to experience a proper current...stopping at the visitor's wall with an 11.5 inch folder in full reverse was...educational.

Another one from Toronto. We've sailed our CS36M since 1988.
