Hello from NW Michigan

Just found this great forum community while sitting tied up here in Beulah, MI. Right now my wife and I are sailing our 25' Hunter around larger inland lakes with the occasional jaunt into Lake Michigan. I'm looking forward to conquering Lake Michigan a bit more for longer and longer cruises! Ahoy!

Welcome aboard Ben and Jess.

You could do worse for sailing than on Lake Michigan, good place to be during a hot summer.

Cool a fellow Michigander. I've spent a lot of time up your way. Mesick, Empire, Glen Arbor, TC.

Northern Michigan is absolutely amazing! Mid Michigan is so/so and southern Michigan may as well be Ohio. But our entire west coast is filled with some of the best beaches on earth, hands down. It's a 2 hour drive to Muskegon from here but we choose that over any of the local beaches every time; well worth the drive. When I get a boat, Muskegon is going to be my home port.

Enjoy the lakes!
