Hello from North Carolina

I am a small boat sailor and part time cruiser getting ready to retire to Tennessee. We plan on cruising the Tennessee River system along its entire length eventually and, given the time and energy, on to the Mississippi and the Ohio.

Our choice for for this adventure is our Macgregor 19 - asmall cruiser for two. We'll see how that works out.

Welcome aboard, Richard!

Cruising the rivers should be interesting. And "cozy" in a 19 footer! Hope you enjoy the Forum.

A boat, a destination, and water. Sounds like an adventure to me. We have some river folk here and I'm sure you can find lots to keep your interest. Boats by their nature need a lot of work. We all have ours and we can probably find something to help you with yours.

Hello and welcome!

Sounds like a fun trip.

Do you have any pictures of your boat(s)?

Aloha Richard,
Welcome aboard! You also mention that you have a Catalina 22. That was my first boat and I really enjoyed it. Your cruising plans sound like loads of fun.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Thanks for the warm welcome. I just stumbled onto this forum last night and am really looking forward to participating here. I know about maintenance having 3 sailboats right now - I spend more time maintaining than sailing but we are going to give one to my daughter and sell the Catalina so it will just be the Mac and us on the rivers.
