Hello from New Member - a Writer

Hello all,

I'm an American Writer (14 books), poet and workshop leader living in Sweden. I"m in touch with hundreds of Scandinavian people who love to grow more open to life and free in Love, and am planning what I'm calling, Wild Souls in Greece: workshops in which I sail people to uninhabited small island to dance, meditate, free dive, do Watsu water massage, and simply be together under the stars. Here is a link: https://www.facebook.com/WildSoulsWorkshops

I am seeking the right boat for this, and found that I can get a lot more boat for the money here in Sweden then any other place I've looked. Ideally I would like to find a boat for sale in Greece or near there, (Italy, Croatia…). I can get a 27 foot Albin Vega, (for example), for from 2,500 to 3,500 Euros). I'm also looking at a very beautiful Tur 80 for a bit more.

If anyone has a boat for sale in the Med, or knows a traveler who wants to sell… I would appreciate knowing very much, as purchasing a boat down there is preferable to one here and sailing it down at this point.

I look forward to making new friends here in this community, and to moving off the land to a life on the sea.

Much good!

Hello and welcome!

Interesting idea, but you might consider that at 27 ft you will not be taking too many people on workshops. Also there will be boat for hire rules to consider as far as marine and government regulations. Have you investigated that part of idea as well?

Small Catamaran would work very well too, lots of deck space, and comfortable sailing.
Welcome aboard

Welcome to the forum. Many people do not take to sailing naturally. So if it is a multi day trip to some remote Island, you might find some may want to leave the moment they arrive. However, if your guest fly into an airport in the South Pacific and an overnight sail to a remote Island, it might work out great.

Re: Hello from New Member - a Writer

Thanks for your in put, everyone. I appreciate it. As things have developed I've been invited on a 38 foot sloop skippered by one of Norway's foremost sailing instructors. The trip is from Oslo to the Canary Islands. I've decided to join when the boat arrives on the south coast of England. The skipper and organizers are really into growing more aware and free as a conscious process, so the journey is both about sailing and learning, (she certifies people as skippers, etc.), but about personal development. I'll be sharing creative writing, (I have 14 books out), and the essence of Chi Gong in a 3 minute daily practice. In return I'm sure I'll learn so much from this very experienced skipper. A unique voyage. If any one is interested, here is a web link about it.
