Hello from N.C,

Been reading this forum for years. Just now posting a hello. Slowly working my way to the coast. Hope to make it sooner rather than later. I have enjoyed reading the wisdom and even some of the rants and raves on this very helpful site. Would enjoy meeting and talking to others that are close by and who enjoy sailing and learning boat handling tactics especially storm sailing. ,,,,,,,,,, Stormsailor

Re: Hello from N.C,

Welcome to the forum.

Many of us sailors are temporarily landlocked.

Keep moving toward the water.

Re: Hello from N.C,

Welcome to CF Stormsailor. I live just west of you in the mountains and cruise the SE coast out of the Pamlico Sound. Another sailor from your lake is moving their boat to the coast soon. Being on the coast will open up some great possibilities, including sailing your boat south in the winter, giving you a warmer place to go visit in your free time. Of course with winters like we've been having, Lake Norman can be just fine. Best of luck in your endeavors-

Re: Hello from N.C,

Hello
I am in the great lakes but My family has a house in Carolina Beach and I am thinking of keeping a boat there also. I am a firm believer in being prepared. Knowing how to handle a boat in bad weather is the most important thing along with reading the weather.
