Hello from Long Island, NY!

Hello, CF community! Just signed up because I realized that I've had a cruising sailboat for longer than any of my fishing boats! It'll be nine years this season. Does that make me a sailor?
Wife and I are gradually stretching our legs and getting further from home each year - and I'm taking on more and more refit projects each season. This year is completion of the notorious Allied chainplate job...out with SS and in with silicon bronze!
CF has become a steady read over the course of the last year or so - time to sign up.
Our cruising grounds (for now) are Great South Bay, the Atlantic outside of FI Inlet, Block Island Sound and Gardiner's Bay.

Welcome to the forum.
