hi I am new to this forum. I grew up sailing and recently moved from Hawaii to Utah, now i just need to get my hands on a boat of my own and return to the ocean!

Hawaii to Utah / Ocean and Mountains to Mountains and Mountains / Blue to Brown What a change! I only know Hawaii from pictures and it seems to be a beautiful place, but I did work the coal mines near Helper, Utah back in the late eighties and I know Utah has it's own beauty. WELCOME ABOARD.

Yes the Hawaii to Utah change was drastic. I grew up sailing the east coast from florida to maine however, and also spent some time in the BVI

Made my first sail of the year last Saturday on the Great Salt Lake. Cold (46 degrees) but it was fun to see again. Great Winds- up to about 17 knts during the afternoon.

Sailing this spring has been great. Out on the Great Salt Lake on Thursday- 5-7 knots and consistent! My little Compac was happier than a duck in a rainstorm...

It has been beautiful, I live near deercreek and finally the ice is gone. time to teach my husband to sail!!
