Hello from Lake Norman NC
Hello,
I sail on lake Norman Beneteau 235 bought it new in 1988 after owning an used boat for a year or so before...... I am a widower and looking for afirst mate...

Now that you have a boat I think you'll have a fair chance. Not so easy getting a first mate without the boat. If you really enjoy sailing then you'll be likely to attact others that do too. A friendly face with a happy expresion adds a lot to your chances too.
Welcome to CF. We have a fair number of lake sailors here too. Sorry but all my sisters are married.
