Hello from Kemah TX

Hello Cruiser Forum.
I have been lurking and reading posts on CF for several years now. Thank you all for the great information and amusement over the years. My wife and I are now living full time on our sailboat. We are planning to start cruising up and down the East coast early next year. It is time I finally "officially" join CF. I started sailing when I was 8yrs old on my fathers Sabbat. Our family has had several sailboats after that, all on the West coast. For several years my wife owned a 30 ft. racing sloop in Marina Del Ray, CA. We spent the last 18 years in Colorado raising our family. I have wanted to cruise in a sailboat for many years. The time is now right for us.

Mike Firestone comes highly recommended. Avoid Lou Stahlberg like the plague.

Re: Hello from Kemah TX

Enjoy your cruise. I have not done the east coast yet. I think doing coastal cruising is harder than sailing offshore. There is less stuff to bump in to out there.
