Hello from Florida

Just joined this forum and wanted to say hello. Located in Central Florida and looking for a 30 - 40' sailboat for cruising Florida and Bahamas. Did a Bareboat charter in BVI last summer with the 1st mate and 2 teenagers and found what we had been missing since we have been almost boatless for the past 15 years. Got the bug real bad now and am on a quest to find the right cruising boat. Looking forward to reaching out in this forum.

Thanks...Peter Hibbard

Welcome phibbard. You're just an hope skip and jump from the water. I've been in St. Augustine for 25 years. Needed a place to keep a boat. You'll find a lot of good infomation at this site. May your search for the right boat be a pleasure.

Aloha Peter,
Welcome aboard!! Happy hunting. I recommend getting the smallest boat your family will fit and go sailing as soon as you can. 32-36 feet on deck. Fiberglass, diesel powered, cutter rigged with an aft cockpit.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Hi: Scallywag: where are you in St. Augustine? I am at Comanchee Cove. Maybe wwe can meet and greet over a sundowner one afternoon.

Hi Golden Isles, We live in Treasure Beach. A sundowner sounds good.
