Hello from Dorset

Hello sailors! My names Chris, I've joined CF after seeing a post on a search engine about a water tank baffles. I starting sailing at a young age, racing small boats (Cadets, Lasers, Larks) round the cans on a weekends and moved up to yacht racing when heavy enough to add mass to the rail. I've got a speed boat for skiing and wake boarding now, but when funds allow and my 2 kids are a bit bigger I'll be hoping to buy something around 35' to base on the south coast of England for family cruising. I've had 10 years in private yachting with time spent in the Mediterrean, Caribbean and one winter season in the Maldives and Seychelles, mostly as 1st mate, but various yachts upto 246'. The last 10 years to date I've been a partener in a company specialing in fuel oil and water storage tanks. So if you need any advice about water and fuel storage, filters and pumps etc.. please ask. No comercial bias as I don't sell products to the marine industry but dealing with diesel, diesel bugs and filters, and having spent alot of time on the water has taut me alot! And when I need help, advice or a second, third, forth .... opinion, I'll know where to find it! Looking forward to joining in.

Welcome Mate, sounds like you'd be better at answering questions than asking them!

G'day Chris, welcome aboard!

Funny enough, I was thinking about the water system just today. I'll post about it elsewhere so everyone can see it & get the benefit from it.
