Hello from Cape Coral, FL

Just getting back to the forum... Signed up last year and then "life" happening and it was busy and no time for boating... Things are settling down and we've finally been able to spend some time on the water. We're sailors for the most part and have been members of boating clubs, but never owned our own sailboat.

We've done a lot of research and have taken ASA101 & 103 and scheduled to take ASA104 in May.

The goal is to start cruising when we retire, but planning to get a smaller sailboat (~25ft) to enjoy sailing in SW Florida until then... SW FL being pretty shallow in many areas, but we have some options in Pine Island Sound and awesome sailing north in Charlotte Harbor on long weekends.

Welcome (back) aboard! Hope you're on the water soon...SW FL is a fun place to cruise, especially with a shoal draft. Happy cruising!
