Hello from BESA in Busan, South Korea

Hello forum members,

I've been browsing this forum for the last couple weeks and have gotten some great tips and advice.

I've been sailing for a long time now, but I'm truely a novice when it comes to sailing knowledge. Unfortunately, I've got to start learning quick! Recently I started a sailing club in South Korea for expats like myself. You can find my homepage at:

BUSAN EXPAT SAILING ASSOCIATION

I just bought a boat from Japan, and will sail from Fukuoka, Japan to Busan, Korea. It will be my first international voyage. I'm really looking forward to it. I plan on buying 1 more boat this year and possibly 3 or 4 next year (dinghies).

I will definately be looking for a lot of advice from the members here. Anyway, look forward to getting to know some of you.

Mark

Hello Mark,

First of all welcome aboard.
I am regularly in Busan for business, and next time I will make some time and visit you guys.

Good luck with your trip from Fukuoka to Busan. I will try to do some sailing in Japan later this year. I look after my companies office in Kobe, and saw that there are a lot of marina's and charter businesses there.

Best regards,
Andreas

Greetings, and WELCOME aboard, Mark.
Hope you enjoy your time on the Forum.
Good luck with your new sailing association.
BTW:
The link to the Korean Herald didn't lead to the June 19TH story. Which archived section is it in (sports?)?

Aloha Mark,
Welcome aboard! You've been busy, starting a club and buying a boat and planning a cruise.
This is a good place to ask questions if you have any. My club's website is: Na Hoa Holomoku of Hawaii Yacht Club if you'd like to visit it sometime. We just started ours in 2000 and have 26 boats and 150 familiy memberships.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Need to charter a boat from Japan to Korea . Help!!

Looking to charter a private boat one way from Fukuoka Japan or any other place on the western coast to Busan or (Pusan) Korea. There will be two or three people going on the charter. Looking for the month of Oct of Nov of this year.
I will gladly pay handsomely for the charter.
