Hello From Banderas Bay Mexico

Just an introduction: I have lived for 14 years on Banderas Bay, which includes Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. For nine of those years, I lived aboard a 28 foot cutter in Nuevo Vallarta Marina, with occasional sails up the coast. Five years ago, my wife and I built a house in the village of Jarretaderas, Nayarit, near the marina. For the past 12 years, I put some of my mechanical engineering training to use by servicing and repairing boat refrigeration and air conditioning. I also give a seminar on that subject each year to the cruisers heading for the South Pacific. In the summer, I live near Denver, Colorado.

Aloha Mayball,
Welcome aboard! Good to have you here. You give seminars on just what I need however I won't be your direction for quite a time.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Welcome, I am envious of your life. I lived in Punta de Mita for a while teaching surfing. Please keep us updated about the area.

Hello, Mayball.

Welcome to the Forum. Some of our members have posted questions about how to make a living while cruising. I'm sure they'll be interested in your experience working in Mexico.

Re: Hello From Banderas Bay Mexico

Hola Banderas sailing. I visit Vallarta on a regular basis. My wife and I live in the Ajijic area but have a condo in Marina Vallata. Would like to make contacts for sailing. Workin as crew or just enjoying the wind in my face. Available most any weekend and other dates with advance notice. Done mostly monohulls, been in a few BBRs, had my boat in the states years ago.....Lived here in Mexico for 24 years now.
