Hello from Allen Park, Michigan

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd pop in to say "hey!" I'm finally going to put my toe in the water so to speak. I am finally going to take sailing lessons! I figure it's a good way to be introduced to something I've always wanted to do, without having to spend too much money just to find out I don't like it! I currently live in Allen Park Michigan with my significantly other better half. I work in Detroit, and can actually see the river from the window as I'm typing this. Naturally, I hope one day soon, others may be doing the same, but as they're looking out at the river, they'll see a sailboat lumbering erratically by....that will hopefully be me! Oh yea, my lessons are going to be in St. Clair Shores. My buddy is in the process of contacting them and we'll be taking lessons the same weekend. Pretty cool!

Anyhow! Glad to be here..this seems like a great forum!!

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Dave.

Hope the weekend lessons go well, and you graduate on to a lifetime of sailing & cruising pleasure.

G'day, mate. Welcome aboard. Be careful will the winds blows you. I learned to sail on the Great Lakes and somehow wound up down under. Cheers.
