Hello from a C&C Sailor

Greetings from a long-time sailor,
Currently sail a C&C 29 Mk II. Previous boats owned include: Tartan 3000, CS30, Scanmar 33, and a fleet of trailerables.
Live in upstate NY; boat is kept 30 mi north of NYC on the Hudson.
Have done a passel of chartering: BVI, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Chesapeake, Florida Keys, San Juans. And have sailed own boats coastally from Maine to southern Maryland, LI Sound, etc.
Also skippered in the Around Long Island Regatta 3 times. Finished 2nd in Div once.
Am a freelance writer, stage director, and playwright by profession.
That's probably enough information to initiate conversation if anyone feels like it!
Looking forward to this site and forum, and maybe tossing my hat in the "crew wanted" ring.
Fair winds and flat seas to all!!
Ed
PS Howcum there's a "smile face" with popcorn, but none with beer?

Hello Ed,

Welcome to the forum. Bought my latest boat last year and the final decision came down to a Pearson 422 or a C&C Landfall 43. Got the Pearson mainly because I found a better deal but like the lines and sailing of the C&C.

So keeping your boat up the Hudson where do you cruise, in the river or down river to the city and out to the sound? Cruising through the city was one of the high points of our trip to FL from CT last year. NY is quite different from the water.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. You've brought a very good question. I don't know the answer. Beer makes me happier than popcorn.
regards,
