Hello Everyone! I'm Am New Viewer/Listener Here.. "Kate; I Hope I Did This Right!"

Hello everyone! First off I would like to thank the committee on the Do's and Do-not's. I have never joined a "Forum" before, but my crew wanted me too. Some times they come up with things and say; "It's on line!". So I promised my 89 year old mother and crew that I would take a look and join. My mother just completed and I hope not to be her last; USCG License to carry people not more then 100 Mi. OS. I just can’t believe she still does this. God Love Her! Well now about me.
Where to start! Looking about what I've done! I was fortuity raised and geared towards starting company's and really, was lucky to be "At the right place at the right time. Now retired..
Iv’s sailed 40 years from here to there, with as small as 12’ to 116’ sailing vessels. Always thought to stop and smell the roses! I have a degree of knowledge about some things but, master on none and always willing to learn new tricks of our trades.
What do I expect to find and learn here? Is new ways perhaps even new idea's or maybe a new approach to problems experienced on vessels big and small, that Yacht and boaters find each day.
Thank you for the very worm welcome and yield the floor back to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of bright people on here. Make sure you comment and share your opinions. The search function is great if you want to research some particular topic, product, or destination.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here and your mother must be quite a Captain and of course you are the son of a sailor. Happy sailing and I have you beat on the size of boats you've sailed. The smallest I've sailed is 8 feet.
kind regards,

Welcome aboard Richard III! But really, see if you can get Mum to join in too. It would be good to have another "mature" poster here! And she surely must have some good stories to pass on... maybe some about you, mate!

Enjoy the ride...

Cheers,

Jim
