Hello everybody

Hi,

My name is Beverley and I live in Cheshire, England - a county with next to no coastline at all. Nonetheless I have done my RYA Comp Crew and in a few weeks time I am booked on my RYA day skipper course.

My plan in the short to medium term is to get a 25 footer, or something close to that, and to really learn to sail it properly along the Irish Sea coasts. So for now it is study, study, study because by August I hope to have my new rating.

Fingers crossed!

Re: Hello everybody

Hello Mauritz and Gordmay and thank you for the welcome. I obviously have quite a bit of reading to do...

Mauritz, as for the seamanship training, that is all bookwork for the next few weeks. I go off in July so I have a lot to cram in before then. I hope it works out like my previous one where the day to day practicalities turned out to be more straightforward than I feared.

Re: Hello everybody

Thank you. I am still reading and getting a feel for things so it may be a while before I have anything to contribute.
