Hello! Anyone still use these things...

Hey Everyone! Im a brand new member and sailor here...Anyone else still using forums to communicate or are everyone just on YouTube now? :P I saw the date this site was created and much of the content's 11 years old here now but I can think of no better place to ask noobish questions at this time.

See you around!

Re: Hello! Anyone still use these things...

There are dozens of new posts here every day...maybe not in every forum (see a list of 'em under "forums" in the menu bar at the top of the page) , but in most. Spend a little time exploring topics. This isn't the only place...there are a zillion sail related discussion forums on the net and they all stay pretty active. If you're brand new to sailing you might also check out sailboatowners.com...lots of newbies there and plenty of experienced sailboat owners too.

Re: Hello! Anyone still use these things...

Suggestion:
Fill out the portion of your profile indicating what boat you have and approximately where you are located.

The answers to some questions are dependent on that info and it saves having to be asked about it repeatedly.

Go to the top menu and click on Quick Links - Today's Posts. That will show you just how active this Forum is.. It just gave me about 150 posts in the last 24 hours.

I'll be happy to answer your n00bish questions, so long as you don't mind a relative n00b supplying you with potentially bad information
