Hello and Possibly Sailing to Brazil for World Cup.

Hey everyone!

I have never sailed before but considering being a deck hand to get to the World Cup this summer so I figured I would see what the old cruisers have to say about this idea.

I can be on the east coast to start the trip.
I guess I am wondering how realistic my notion of being able to land a deck hand gig for such a long trip is when I don't have any time at sea.
I have no illusions of this being a pleasure cruise for me. I'm ready to sweat to make this happen but that doesn't mean it wont be rewarding.

I have a lot of experience in the service industry and can swim and im not afraid of getting my hands dirty. So what do you say, is this reasonable or am I having delusions of adventure?
