I've been on boats since I was a week old and love the freedom, structure and self-reliance. In the past I have only owned powerboats, but about a year ago I got bit by the sailing bug. I'm going "all-in" on this and have already read every sailing book in the library and have done extensive
research on vessels and
equipment on the
internet, but for the moment my sailing knowledge is completely theoretical. Powerboats-no problem, but sailing is a different animal. For now, I am land-locked, reading and doing all the
research I can so when I finally have the opportunity I can take some of that theoretical knowledge and turn it into something more practical.
So again, hello to everyone who makes this such a valuable site and brings all your knowledge, experience and stories to the world. I look forward to asking lots of questions and getting all your opinions...
